this too shall pass

just an update after a long break

It has been sometime that I updated my activities. Gosh.. I should have written something substantial, but instead I can only barely updated my diary.

ANyway, I think it is still better than nothing. At least we need to start somewhere. For someone like me, who doesn’t write and having difficulty in composing thoughts in words, daily diary is not that bad after all.

So, last friday was my farewell with my church friends. We went to vivocity for dinner. Err as usual, this guy, mr kucel asked for a treat. Hmmm… nope, I didn’t give a treat. -_-”… but I still bought some appetizer lah…

The gathering was good. I didn’t expect it actually as I am not someone that sentimental. In fact, i am not someone who can bear too much feeling. It was good to have chitchat and we may not meet for another year plus.

So, on saturday was equally packed. I met my insurance agent. Well, it was a good catch up with her too. She asked me how I am. Well, I could not really answer that. I am still in the middle of resolving various issues. Anyway, she offers me some insurance policy, I am, however, not able to consider any. Not the time yet.

On saturday evening, I went to church for the fellowship. Again, the topic was about Indonesia. The discussion was good, but well, as long as it remains the idea-state, it will go nowhere. At that time, I also say sayonara, not forever of course, just for 15 months. :)

On sunday, terribly hectic. Morning sunday service, followed by domestic worker fellowship. Well, the church I am serving was having the anniversary party, 17th of God’s grace. So, they had fellowship lunch. Well, it was a the same time a farewell for me. :) .. yeah.. I will miss all of them for sure…. By the time I come back, many would have gone back to their home country.

Later in the afternoon, I went to vivocity. Well, actually we planned to go to sentosa and I was supposed to organise the outing. As I came early, I have taken a booklet and planned some possible routes for us. Everyone was pretty punctual, by 3.15AM all of us have gathered.

So, we took the monorail, first time for all of us :P . I planned for the nature walk first and then the beach chill-out. It was however, vetoed by consensus by other members as it was rather scorching hot. :( so, in the end, we went to palawan beach and not on the beach. It was under a huge shade of movenpick umbrella. Err.. what a beach outing! So, who came? Jin, qin, pleco, lub2, russin, humph and jean.  Anyway, i think we had a good time.

Everything was ok, however, I was actually trouble. My friend is hospitalised. Well, she has been in and out of hospital all the time. I am not sure how long she will survive this way. I know it has been really painful for her. May God be gracious to her…,

Ok I think that is all

private wedding and dining

September 25, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Today, i attended my friend private wedding and dining. Well, she is 4 years younger than me and she is actually used to be in the cell group and me and I happened to be her leader. Yeah, it was during nus days. I was appointed to be cell group leader and she and a few other freshmen were the members.

So, today marked the day that she is married :) . Praise God. I am really happy for her and I wished her all the best.

The interesting thing was the wedding was not held at fort canning park as the rest of my friends. It was in this fancy private dining restaurant. I have just realised that they are 2 ways to be legally married, one can have it in the office or just anywhere they want. The one in the office (fort canning) is the one with long queue..

Anyway, the place where we eat is really interesting. Errr… it is so private that it only has 4 tables and reservation is needed with minimum of 6 people. The menu is unknown, it is the sole decision of the chef on that day and the service is good. Food-wise, it is commendable and unconventional. So, what is the name? Errr…. xi yan…

ok, so congratulations to you mr and mrs h l… :)
